Are you aware that a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) allows individuals who are 70½ years old or older to donate up to $100,000 total to one or more charities directly from a taxable IRA instead of taking their required minimum distributions?

Donating appreciated securities (stocks, bonds, and mutual fund shares held for at least a year and a day) is a tax-advantaged way to make a gift to Fontbonne. You are entitled to a charitable deduction on the fair market value of the securities on the date of the gift, and there is no capital gains tax on the appreciation.
